TAR WEEK IN KUORTANE FROM 17th JULY TO 23rd JULY
Traditional Tar Week is held in Kuortane, Aholankangas. During the week the tar pit burns 24 hours a day and at the same time there is organized many different events at and near the pit. Organizer of the week is LC Kuortane. At the same time (Friday 19th and Saturday 20th July) Kuortaneen Kunto organizes traditional fair Kuortaneen Kuhinat which provides different types of sellers (handicraft, candies, pastrys etc.) The restaurant will be open every night during the Tar Week from 6 PM to 12 PM. Coffee can be bought from 3 PM onwards.
Programs are sold from Wednesday, prize is 5EUR. No other entry fees! The program is also a ticket to lottery. Winner is announced on Monday 22nd at 8 PM!
WEEK PROGRAMME:
WEDNESDAY 17th
7 PM: Lighting of the tar pit. Live music.
THURSDAY 18th
Jamnight. Local musicians give their best.
6 PM: CHEEK at the athletic stadium. No age restrictions, no alcohol. Tickets 30EUR from the gate.

FRIDAY 19th
10 AM - 6 PM: Traditional handicraft market at the tar pit.
Kuortaneen Kuhinat day 1 on the Keskuskatu.

10 AM - 3 PM: Family day. Events for the kids.
3 PM: Tar bingo, mainprize is a bicycle.
7 PM: Tar pin is opened!

Dance at KuKun maja from 8 PM to 2 AM.
